Eine Erkundung der Überschneidung und Spannung zwischen der Identität des Unterdrückten und des Unterdrückenden unter Verwendung der Elemente Sprache und Hierarchie. Verwendet wird das übergreifende Thema der Beharrlichkeit der Sprache, die die Künstlerin nicht als ihre eigene betrachtet. Ausgehend von einer Selbstbefragung und Selbstbeobachtung dient die Präsentation als Grundlage für das Verständnis der Komplexität einer intersektionalen Identität und der kurz- und langfristigen Auswirkungen historischer und aktueller Narrative und Ereignisse auf individuelle Identitäten.

An exploration of the intersection and tension between the identity of the oppressed and the oppressor using the elements of language and hierarchy. It uses the overarching theme of the persistence of language, which the artist does not consider hers. Starting with self-inquiry and introspection, this presentation serves as a foundation to understand the complexities of an intersectional identity and the short and long-term impacts of historical and present-day narratives and events on individual identities.

 
Artist Statement
An artist & communication designer with the inertia of her artistic/design practice in motion towards creating work that matters. Work which informs, engages and stimulates the audience. Wanting to make a difference in the world, she strives to be kind and empathetic. Complex information that is not accessible to everyone, and in an ever-changing world, it is her greatest interest as a designer to explore how she can create concepts and identities through different media for anyone to engage with. She often communicates through photography, editorial design, performance and artefacts.
